My counselling training began in 2018, concluding with me qualifying in 2020. My course was both integrative and person-centred. My counselling training included substantial training in humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive and pluralistic counselling theories, grief and bereavement, addiction, psychopathology, and group counselling. Throughout my training we worked creatively, embracing collage, art and poetry. I have carried this over to my client work as I offer working creatively to explore mental health.
I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work within their Ethical Framework which can be found here.
I am a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and I have Professional Indemnity Insurance.
I am able to offer therapy online by zoom or in-person at the West End in Edinburgh. Please note that my office is on the second floor of a listed building that does not have an elevator.
I charge £70 for 1 hour sessions and £105 for 1.5 hour sessions.
